Jelani is an economist on the Research team, where his work integrates financial modeling, market research, and economic impact analysis. He helps clients evaluate opportunities, quantify risks, and understand the broader socioeconomic landscape shaping their initiatives.
Before joining Eve & Co, Jelani worked as a research analyst on economic growth initiatives. At the International Monetary Fund, he developed indicators of macroeconomic stability for Caribbean countries. At the Private Sector Organization of Jamaica, he worked on increasing the participation of small and medium enterprises in the country’s financial system, and on the recovery of Jamaica’s economy after the COVID-19 pandemic.
Jelani honed his talent for interpreting the story behind financial data at Proven Wealth Limited, where he analyzed public companies across a broad range of industries and evaluated sovereign and corporate debt opportunities. He wrote weekly articles about relevant financial and economic issues, highlighting the value of data analysis in improving accuracy and efficiency of the investment research process.
Jelani received an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
